American Tribal Style Belly Dancing

Roxanne

ATS Belly Dance Instructor and FCBD SISTER STUDIO

Dancing has been a love of mine since I was young. Growing up in a house filled with music was my inspiration  My background is 5 years of Jazz, Tap, and 8 years of Belly Dancing.

I teach American Tribal Style Belly Dancing. I am a FCBD sister studio.

To be a Sister Studios you have to graduate from General Skills for ATS, ATS Teacher Training and exclusive FCBD Teacher Training. We are dedicated to presenting ATS as created and developed by FatChanceBellyDance and director and master teacher Carolena Nericcio.

Sister Studios do not blend with or present other styles of Tribal. Our goal is that you, the student, should be able to attend a FCBD ATS class anywhere in the world and receive consistent, quality instruction.

 My background

In 2006, I completed my ATS General Certification. In 2008  I received my ATS Teacher Certification and am continuing to train with Carolena. The goal was to become a sister studio where anyone can come to our studio and get the same level of training as any other ATS sister studio.

We have created a small dance troupe here in Myrtle Beach, SC  "HipNotic Rhythm" which  has perfomed at CCU  Love Your Body Day, multiple private events, Relay for Life, health fairs, and Belk department store.

I have also performed for various venues such as the annual Reston Multicultural Festival, Reston Town Center, Bollywood Festival at the Lisner Auditorium in D.C., The Washington D.C., Fairfax Festival, DC Tribals’ Fat Chance Belly Dance Show at the Warehouse Theater in D.C., Casablanca’s in Old Town Alexandria, Rakkasah Festival of the East, The Greenburg Theater for the Suhalia Salimpour Show, William and Mary’s’ International Celebration, NOVA Community College Multicultural Event, weddings, and private parties.

I also attended the Suhaila School of Dance Technique Level I class. In recent years I  have participated in workshops with Fat Chance Belly Dance, Domba, Rakkasah East Teachers and  Master instructors from Spirit of the Tribes, Colleenna Shakti (from India) and Mira Betz. Last year and continuing this year my focus is taking workshops with master instructors, Carolena Nericcio
